Drawings
How do I order a drawing?
There are 3 ways to get a drawing throughout the year:
1ST FEBRUARY DRAWING DROP: The first drop of the year! The doors swing open on February 1st at 9am sharp. It's super simple - go to the ‘Draw My House’ tab at the top of this page, place your order, shoot me your address or a photo of your home and I'll draw it for you! Sit tight, a drawing will be with you in a few weeks time.
JULY CHARITY DRAWING DROP: This one's special. Every July, I run a charity drawing drop where all the proceeds go to a charity l've chosen. I like to combine this with a limited edition print! Each time l've done this we've raised over $10K! I'll announce the charity beforehand, so you know who you're helping out! The process is the same – order through my website.
LIVE XMAS DRAWING DROP: The final way to grab a drawing each year is in my live drop! The 'Cutest Artist Christmas Market in the Whole Wide World' goes down in my studio, featuring my students' stalls and GDAH goods like colouring books and planners. Get all your xmas shopping done in a day! I'll be at my desk, drawing for you and you can pay whatever - $1 or $1 million.
Is there a waiting list?
Yep! At any point during the month, you can pop on to my website, visit the ‘Draw My House’ page and add your email to the waiting list. This way, you’ll be notified of the next drawing drop.
What’s the lead time?
If you pop a date down, I’ll get your drawing done by then (as long as it’s at least a week from the order day!), if you don’t suggest a date, the drawing will take 6 weeks. Make sure to reach out to me, if you’re wanting one for right after the drop, I like to make miracles happen.
How do you find my house?
My best friends are Google Maps and realestate.com (and similar!). Usually with their powers combined I can see all the angles of your house I need to.
Can you draw from a photo?
Absolutely I can. When you place an order, you have an option to let me know that you’ll be sending a photo to hello@georgiadrawsahouse.com
Can I order via email or Instagram?
Nope! Sorry. Only orders that come through the website are official orders.
Can you draw other things?
Let me at it! I love drawing other things. See my Homeschooled blog on this for some great ideas from other customers.
What materials do you use?
Artline Fineline 0.4 & 300GSM Watercolour Paper (Fabriano)
I have a bigger project.
Really? I like the sound of that. Email me hello@georgiadrawsahouse.com and let me know all about it.
How are the drawings packaged and delivered safely?
I use Australia Post, they’re super reliable (mostly!). If yours goes missing, let me know – we’ll find it / work something out. The girls package your drawings carefully, with hard cardboard so it doesn’t bend, in a plastic sleeve for water protection. This is all bundled in a rigid mailer.
Do you offer refunds?
If you’re unhappy, I’m unhappy. Let me know about it and we’ll work it out.
Workshops
Do you offer drawing workshops?
Yep, I do and I love hosting them. You can learn more about the workshops on the workshop page!
How much do they cost?
Various prices depending on whether you’re a community group, a private part or a corporate team. Fill out the form on the workshop page, let me know what you’re after and I’ll shoot you the costs.
Can you host birthday parties?
Can I ever! I love to host, I love to talk. If you have a party that you want a workshop at, let me know and we’ll organise it. Kids parties, adult wine-a-thons you name it, I can be there. Fill out the form on this workshop page and let me know some deets.
We’d love to do a corporate team event?
The Georgia Draws A House & You Can Too: Hour of Power is best suited for teams. It’s loud, fun and engaging. You can do it online or in person, I’ve hosted the likes of Google, Atlassian, Apple and all sorts of smaller businesses – they all love it.
I can’t draw!?
Give me an hour and I’ll change that! This workshop requires no skills, it’s all about gaining scribble confidence.
What ages are the workshops suitable for?
All ages! 5-105. Seriously, it doesn’t matter, the instructions and activities are very malleable. I’ve had public workshops with 5 year olds and 75 year olds in the same class.
What do I need to bring?
A pen, a piece of paper and a photo of your house (or the house you want to draw!)
What will I learn in the workshop?
You learn the principles behind drawing confidently, not perfectly in a series of exercises that lead up to drawing your house.
Can you give me some examples of what we might do?
Sure, we do a speed drawing, we learn to draw in ‘elevation’ by drawing objects around us, we may do a drawing all together where you watch my hands and see if you can keep up – and lots of other things!
Will you do a public workshop again?
These will be available at random times throughout the year. The best way to make sure you don’t miss out on hearing about them is to follow me on instagram or to sign up to my mailing list.
Murals / Large Scale
How many murals have you done?
All together I’ve done about 7 now! You can see some of the work on my murals page.
Who have you done murals / large scale work for?
I have done work for The Museum of Sydney, Georges River Council, Club Parramatta, Hunters Hill Council, Inner West Council and Atlassian.
How long do they take?
Hard to answer that. That depends on scale, approval process and whether it’s a planned piece or a naturally evolving one.
What’s the process?
Always different but have a read of my Homeschooled Blog – I’ve written a detailed process for my installation at Club Parramatta.
